Last year LGNN's annual Secret Santa Fundraiser for Misericordia was a huge success! Let's do it again this year! Misericordia is a home to over 600 children and adults with varying levels of mental disabilities. They serve many residents who have no families and are Wards of the State. An additional number of residents have families who exist at the poverty level and therefore are unable to buy gifts for them. It is for these residents, that we will be providing gifts for this holiday season!
The residents "wishes" range in price. No gift is ever too small!! They will be grateful for whatever you can give!! We have specific wish lists for each resident but a sample of some typical items on their lists include: CD's and DVD's, electric razors, pants, shirts, jackets, cologne, mittens, lotion, shampoo, gift cards, hair ties, board games, pajamas, socks, shoes, headphones, etc.
Thank you for helping this holiday season to ensure that all the children and adults of Misericorida have a wish come true! We appreciate your willingness to help others!
HOW DO I HELP?
1. Purchase a gift: email: Erin McNeil at erincmcneil@gmail.com and she will assign you as many gifts you would like to donate. Please just let her know the dollar amount you would like to spend (for example: $25, $50, $75, $100, or any other dollar amount) so that she knows how many items to assign you.. Please drop off the purchased UNWRAPPED gifts, labeled with your name and the resident's name, to Kate Martens House: 1004 S. Madison Ave , LaGrange NO LATER THAN DEC 6th.
2. Make a Donation: drop off, or mail a check to Kate Martens at 1004 S. Madison, LaGrange. The Charity Committee would be happy to purchase your gift for you.
